Red Cross Needs

Ladies,

Lisa Perry got together a list for us from our local Red Cross in Waco. There are lots of items that they are in desperate need of. Lisa has volunteered to deliver these to the Red Cross tomorrow if we'll bring them tonight to circle. (even if you can't make it to circle you can drop them by the educational building tonight at 6:30)

Here's the list:

bottled water
size 3 diapers
baby wipes
books & magazines
new towels and washcloths

I think this will be a great way to help out. We didn't get any evacuees here at Zion, so we can help out others in a super easy way. Thanks Lisa!!!!!!!

God beside you for a day...

One of the prayer class assignments was to live as if God is literally right beside you for one whole day. I'm trying it today and I really think that I am a better person today. I like that. If you feel so inclined, try it out! (I'm embarassed at how I should have done this way sooner...my daily actions and words needed this assignment!)

Circle Meeting Date Change

The next circle meeting date has changed to June 25th. It will be at the church.

***Please keep David Lillard in your thoughts and prayers. He has a follow-up with his doctor tomorrow to see how his heart is doing following his surgery.

Good Stuff...

Day camp is going great this week. Today was really neat as we had Cindy Gomez of Living Water Pottery come and give a demonstration to the kids. She was very insightful and truly a gift to day camp.

The kids are loving the counselors and all the activities. I'm sure all campers are worn out by the end of the day because it is packed full of fun and fellowship. I must also add that Doris Mooney and all the kitchen volunteers are going above and beyond to provide great snacks for the kiddos. (....and any other people that linger in the kitchen...hehe!)

Prayers!

Ladies, we need to continue to pray for Zane Foster. They got news today that the cancer has spread. The CAT scan showed spots on both lungs and tumors in his lymph nodes. They will begin chemo the end of next week or first part of the next after some more scans are done to see if it is anywhere else.

Thank you Angie for keeping us updated.

I will get a full prayer list up shortly here on our blog.
